  • The case study explores the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Cineworld, the world's second-largest cinema chain. With revenue loss due to the pandemic and the postponement of blockbuster releases, Cineworld closed all of its cinemas in October 2020, with most staff being furloughed. However, in November 2020, it secured financial support worth £560 million from lenders to help it stay afloat until cinemas could reopen in May 2021.
